These are standard sized post cards, quality printed in full, lavish color. A great many people mat and frame them, or decorate with them in other ways. Some people make collages and posters out of them. When you send one of these to a friend, that person will not throw it away. Sometimes, the title of the book becomes a private message between you and the one to whom you send it. The big deal about them is that they are reproductions of the covers of actual paperback books from the 1930s through the 1960s. These books could be bought at the corner drug store, news stands, and book stores. The covers were meant to grab your eye. Sometimes they had very little to do with the actual story beneath the cover. Violence and sex sold then, as now. Little has changed, has it?
